As explained on the NK9 website (NaNotsForDogs.com), 6M dogs per year get cancer in the US – 11x the human cancer rate. Almost none get treated, due to lack of effective & affordable treatments. Owners do what their vets advise and euthanize their dogs with cancer. We're developing an effective & affordable alternative to euthanasia, potentially unlocking a $2B market opportunity.

Hawaii: Organization for Space Medicine, Engineering & Design 2024

Mr. Hawthorne presented at this invitation-only conference on December 10th, 2024. Conference focus was the health hazards of long duration space flight – including radiation exposure leading to reduced immune competence, which in turn raises the risk of both cancer and sepsis. Mr. Hawthorne describes these risks in detail and how the NaNot platform could be deployed in space to address these risks.
